12 Days Down

Weighed in this morning at 167!! Today is Friday though, which is my higher calorie day! (anywhere from 1500-1700) Enjoying a sweet iced tea right now and tonight it's Pizza :)

11 days down

I'm still at it!! 1200 calories per day and it's getting easier each day. I weighed in last night at 168. This week is not as active as last so I'm sure my weekly amount lost won't be as easy. Maybe I can kick it into overdrive the next 4 days and end it well! We shall see. I've been doing research and finding at even a 1200 calorie diet may not be enough to lose weight if I'm not burning more than 1200 calories per day. So, I really need to put it in overdrive. Once spring hits and I can get out and walk, it'll be easier. Cooped up in a house with food while trying to lose weight stinks!

6 days down

I've been doing really good lately. On Friday's I've chosen to treat myself to around 1700 calories for the day. I'm sure I hit that yesterday. I went to McDonalds to get my nephew the Theadore happy meal toy from Alvin and the Chipmunks. I could have paid $2.19 for it or bought a hamburger happy meal for $3.19. I chose the happy meal, but got water for the drink. I didn't eat the bread on the hamburger, but ate the fries right up :) They were yummy. Not to mention, last night I ate 3 pieces of chocolate candy. For supper I ate one slice of Tony's pizza and a can of chicken noodle soup (I'm sick). All in all, not a horrible day but more than I wished I would have eaten. I weighed in last night and have lost 11 pounds! LOL. Seriously, it showed 169. Here is the kicker. I realized yesterday that when the scale was by itself, it showed 6 pounds already. I recalibrated the scale back to 0. so really I've lost about 5 pounds.
I very seldom get "excerise" because of a time issue, but this week, on top of being sick I did all the girl scout cookie lifting and running up and down a flight of stairs and the I have done a TON of snow shoveling. I read on the Mayo Clinic website that one of the activities that burns the most calories is roller blading. It burns a little over 900 calories per hour. I am going to buy a pair of roller blades this spring/summer and possible take up a new hobby. Can you imagine burning that many calories for one hour of work!! And it's fun :) I'm excited

Alright, well I woke up at 10:30 this morning (thanks to JJ for letting me sleep when I feel this horrible) so I better get something in my belly. I am trying to eat more in the mornings and less at night :)

2 days down

Today hasn't been so great. I'm having constant "caffeine withdrawal" headaches. I finally had to work one Mt Dew into my 1200 calories. It all worked out though because I had to help sort, load, and unload a lot of Girl Scout cookies so I worked that off easily. Not to mention, all I had today to eat was a small 160 calorie bag of CheezIts from our vending machine at work. After I got home I ate a small helping of leftover lasagna. I'm not sure on the calories because it was 1) leftover 2) original store boxed. I'm sure it was stacked with calories since it pasta and store bought... Oh well

Yesterday I did stay within the 1200 calories but I felt like I was starving all night long. I bought some gum, so I'd have something in my mouth and also drank a bunch of water. Each time I got hungry, I would drink :) Yay for me!!

The Beginning

After a very rough December and extremely rough weekend I weighed in tonight at 180 pounds. OUCH... I am working with girls at work to keep me on track and my weight loss goal is 40-45 pounds. I working to have this done by April 15th but we'll see how well that works!
I've done some research and found that in order to lose 2 pounds per week, I need to have less than 1200 calories per day. Let's see what I can do!!!!
