6 days down

I've been doing really good lately. On Friday's I've chosen to treat myself to around 1700 calories for the day. I'm sure I hit that yesterday. I went to McDonalds to get my nephew the Theadore happy meal toy from Alvin and the Chipmunks. I could have paid $2.19 for it or bought a hamburger happy meal for $3.19. I chose the happy meal, but got water for the drink. I didn't eat the bread on the hamburger, but ate the fries right up :) They were yummy. Not to mention, last night I ate 3 pieces of chocolate candy. For supper I ate one slice of Tony's pizza and a can of chicken noodle soup (I'm sick). All in all, not a horrible day but more than I wished I would have eaten. I weighed in last night and have lost 11 pounds! LOL. Seriously, it showed 169. Here is the kicker. I realized yesterday that when the scale was by itself, it showed 6 pounds already. I recalibrated the scale back to 0. so really I've lost about 5 pounds.
I very seldom get "excerise" because of a time issue, but this week, on top of being sick I did all the girl scout cookie lifting and running up and down a flight of stairs and the I have done a TON of snow shoveling. I read on the Mayo Clinic website that one of the activities that burns the most calories is roller blading. It burns a little over 900 calories per hour. I am going to buy a pair of roller blades this spring/summer and possible take up a new hobby. Can you imagine burning that many calories for one hour of work!! And it's fun :) I'm excited

Alright, well I woke up at 10:30 this morning (thanks to JJ for letting me sleep when I feel this horrible) so I better get something in my belly. I am trying to eat more in the mornings and less at night :)
